As winter slowly makes it way out one can’t help but be excited for Spring fashion and all the clothes you can start to wear. I’m now finding ways of incorporating color into my wardrobe after wearing so many neutrals and black during the colder months. I also like to wear more layers in order to create more outfits with the pieces that I already own.
Yellow. This color showed up on the major runways of Gucci, Hermes and the likes for the SS17 shows. It was refreshing to see color after witnessing a sea of dark hues that is typical of the mens shows. Yellow is one of those colors that are not top of mind when thinking about an outfit. Although for spring it is the perfect way to add an accent through accessories or making one of your wardrobe staples yellow.
Hue. When rocking the yellow trend this spring/summer season- it’s best to stay away from neon or overly bright yellows. I advise oping for a mustard yellow that is suitable for all complexions.
Key Pieces. Here I showed you how to wear a crew neck sweater with a button down underneath. You can also wear a yellow tie with your more business attire. A Yellow pair of chinos is another great way to rock yellow in your wardrobe. The last option would be a jacket whether it be a blazer or regular jacket in yellow to layer over a neutral over for a pop of color
How I Styled
The outfit that I am wearing is a crew neck sweater from The Gap. The chambray button up shirt is from H&M. The jeans are from Joe Fresh & the boots are from Dune London.
